![]() ![]() It's clear this work has managed to leave a mark on people just the way it is, and that's the important thing. I'm not sure how other people may feel about that. For me, it would have enhanced my experience with it. You could argue that 'hey this is hentai, what do you expect?' Maybe there needed to be the right balance of realism and fantasy. However, it could have gone further with it and made it even more messed up. I guess, as far as hentai goes, yes this one of the more realistic and darker ones out there that I know of. The only thing close to that is what happens at the very end of the series. If you're someone who is living that kind of lifestyle, those moments are a HUGE part of the cycle of addiction. There's not any exploration of the relationship she has with herself. But, you don't get to see her own personal mental breakdowns. ![]() True, you get to see what she's willing to put her body through overtime & how other people ramp up their abuse towards her. They just seem to be working with cliches surrounding the drugs in question.Īlso, you don't really get to see the lowest parts that come with substance abuse. ![]() It seems to be written by someone who didn't do much research on any of the drugs used throughout the series. The reactions she gets from the drugs she takes don't really make sense. Someone coming from an average background like that doesn't seem like the type to suddenly go all the way with an older stranger and take E.Īnd even if you are high, I really don't think losing your virginity like that would be pleasurable at all. But, before then it doesn't seem like she's been through anything particularly traumatic or unusual. Her dad gets creepy when she gets a makeover, true. From what is provided, she seems to have a pretty normal home life. I guess we don't get to see much of her life before her descent into substance abuse begins. None of this makes sense in a character coming from her background and especially for her age. How much she loves sex right from the beginning. How attached she becomes to these men who abuse her. How willingly she trusts complete strangers. main character's mindset towards life and other people doesn't make sense to me. However, this attempt at realism is also the series' downfall for me. Which I don't mind, but it can get boring. It's definitely original and I haven't seen many other hentai that have tried to be anything other than mindless smut. My expectations were set pretty high because of all the hype surrounding the series, which probably impacted my judgement in a negative way, as it did not completely live up to that hype. The art was something i really liked! I think maybe was some of the points that made me give another shot to this manga, and i think it worth the read, if you aren't looking for something to "make you happy", otherwise you'll be very disappointed/sad about how dark a hentai can became.Ok, I live for edgy/dark manga (and anything else really), so when I heard everyone making a big deal about this title, I had to read it. I thinked the end would be really different, i think is kinda disappointing but it makes a lot of sense when you stop to think about what she was and what she turned in. In the beginning it shows like another one of "Ugly girl and isolated girl became pretty and popular", we have a lot of these, hentai or not, but it escalates in a way really surprising (at least for me!), i almost dropped in the dad scene, but when i read the other reviews i decided to continue, and is so shockin' how mental health of Saiki became worse and worse, and ![]() I just don't know what to said! I didn't read much hentai, since i'm much more into BL, but i decided to give a shot, since i read a lot of how good this was. ![]()
